Repairing Garage Door Rollers
Garage door rollers are the mechanisms that allow the door to climb gently up and down on his way. When a roller is worn, the garage door can stick or take longer to move. Rollers are secured by brackets placed on the garage door. The shaft in the roller fits inside a sleeve in the holder portion and fits into the roller track. Rollers are not difficult to replace. You can buy them in the local home remodeling center.
Loosen and remove the bolts holding the support garage door rollers. A minimum of four screws Hold the bracket in place. Remove the screws using a ratchet handle and socket appropriate size. Slide the roller bolt support. Look for an access point along the roller rink, which is a slightly wider area on the track that allows you to lift the roller out. Use pliers to bend a portion of the track if you can not find an access point.
Slide the roller to the access point and remove the garage door rollers track. Take the roller with you to the local home remodeling store to buy a new one. Place the roller track at the access point. The curve track with pliers if you created an access point. Slide your cursor to the location of the support. Slide the pin sleeve roller carriage bolts. Place the bracket in place on the garage door, replace the bolt and tighten with the ratchet and socket.
